J.C.B. Sunday School
The J.C.B.'s (or Junior Church Builders) have been running for some years now, and we have children from 3 to 12 years old and even a few beyond.

The session starts at 10am and at approximately 10.50 am they go over to the church to join the Sunday 10am Parish Communion service. The children sit at the front, put all their work under their seats and go up to the altar for a blessing in the communion.
Once this is over, the curate reads the notices and then asks the children to come up; the children go up with their drawings/sheets and explain what story they had that day and it's relevance. The curate then tries to work out what their pictures are and generally has a little laugh with them. They end showing the congregation their work from the front. A Hymn is sung to end the service and the congregation is dismissed. Tea and Coffee (or Orange Squash) is then served at the rear of the Church for all.

Maybe you'll come along to St. Barnabas Church, Stroud Road, Gloucester and have some fun!
On the third Sunday of the month a Family Service takes place instead of the Parish Communion. This service is dedicated to young families and involves some of the parents and lasts only 45 minutes. No communion takes place in this service, instead it takes place as a seperate service afterwards at approximately 11.00am. Refreshments follow.
Come and join us at one of these rewarding events!
